| Day 29: Pokhara My bus to Pokhara arrived around 3PM and as soon as I stepped out of the bus, there was 7-8 touts harassing me. Those guys didn`t take no for an answer, so I had to practicaly run away from them. I walked to Lakeside and took hotel there. Thing is that those maoists have scared most of the tourists away, so you can find quality rooms almost for free. Good for the tourists, bad for the Nepalese people. Day 30: Pokhara
I had so much fun with that motorcycle in Kathmandu that I rented one again. My plan was to visit Sarangot, which has superb views to Annapurnas, except today wasn`t very good day to go, since clouds blocked most of the peaks. I had to buy a postcard, instead of taking pictures... Well, just driving around Pokhara was fun enough. I also visited Devi`s fall, which is a kind of a underground river with waterfall. Day 31: Pokhara
I dedicated this day completely to resting, since I knew tomorrow will be travelday from hell: hours after hours in a bus on my way to Varanasi. Loooong breakfast with fresh newspaper and then back to bed... Thing that I like about Nepal and especially Pokhara is that you don`t have to suffer from that constant noisepollution like you do in India. And food is great. I really wanted to stay longer in Pokhara, but I had to be in Delhi on 28th. So tomorrow, it`s back to India. |
