Irkutsk & Listvyanka 07.09.02 - 09.09.02

Day 13: Irkutsk

Arrived in Irkutsk around 4 AM. It was still dark and I didn`t feel like walking in those streets with no lights. Taxidriver tried to rip me off, but I managed to get in to hotel. Walked around Irkutsk all day, not too big city. Got interesting proposals from prostitutes, who kept calling to my hotelroom all evening.

Day 14: Listvyanka

Had huge breakfast in a morning before heading to bus station. Ticket to Listvyanka was only 1.50$, while those sleazy cabdrivers were asking 15$. Met couple of Australian guys in a bus and we went looking for a guesthouse together. Later in the evening went out for a dinner, but somehow we ended up drinking beer and vodka late into night with local youth. I had the best time. As far as I can remember.

Day 15: Listvyanka - Ulan-Ude

After breakfast we decided to climb up to one of those hills which surrounded Lake Baikal. Views were definitely worth the trouble. Unfortunately I had to take minibus back to Irkutsk, because my train to Mongolia left in a evening. I could have easily spent couple more days in lake Baikal.
