Everybody seem to be interested in price of that trip, so I summarize it here.

St.Petersburg 26.8 - 29.8 2002

Day 1: Oulu - St.Petersburg

Spend whole day travelling from Oulu to St.Petersburg via Vyborg, where I hopped off from a bus and took the train. Border crossing was ridiculously tight on Russian side of the border: I had to show my passport five times. Arrived in St.Pete`s and crashed in a hostel.

Day 2: St.Petersburg

This hostel can`t register my visa which you are supposed to do in three days from your arrival, I`ll have to do it in Moscow but it is going to be my fifth day in Russia so there might be trouble on Mongolian border. Took a cruise in canals and Neva river. Price system: Russians =>100 roubles, "Visitors" => 200 roubles. Nice buildings everywhere and more to come because there is lot`s of restorations going on.

Day 3: St.Petersburg

Bought train ticket to Moscow in a morning, not too difficult considering I don`t speak any russian. Spend rest of the day in Hermitage / Winterpalace. That place was huge. Got art overdose. Had a few beers in a evening to clear my head.

Day 4: St.Petersburg - Moscow

Just killing time.Went to a summerpark... Without paying. People watching in front of Church of Isaac. Nighttrain to Moscow was nicest one I`ve ever seen. Even breakfast was included. But then again: price of that ticket was pretty high: around 20$.
