Life on a train 03.09.02 - 06.09.02

| Day 9: Moscow - Kirov Did some last minute food shopping and tried to find some APS - film, but no such luck. Headed to Kazanski station in a afternoon and hopped in a train. 86 hours to Irkutsk. That`s three and half days! Day 10: Kirov - Tyumen
Slept really badly => couple hours sleep, woke up, couple hours sleep and so on. First stop of the day was in Balyezino, where I got my first taste of platform food when old babushka sold me three pastrys. Had couple of beers in restaurant car in a evening. Saw two guys with 9mm automatic pistols ... hope they were security?? Day 11: Tyumen - Krasnoyarsk
First stop of the day was in Omsk, but nobody wasn`t selling any food, so I had a can of tunafish and some babyfood for breakfast. Got few suspicious looks from my compartment mates while eating that babyfood. Bought four blinis for dinner while we were stopping in Barabinsk. Had few beers and couple shots of vodka in a restaurant car. Day 12: Krasnoyarsk - Irkutsk
Had bit of a hangover because of those drinks last night... I mainly kicked back in my compartment all day. Scenery started to look really beautiful with hills and valleys. I didn`t met anybody who spoke english while I was in a train...? |
