Moscow 30.08.02 - 03.09.02

Day 5: Moscow

Arrived in Moscow around 7AM and managed to find my hostel. And these people can finally register my visa...for 10$ of course. After a quick shower, took subway back to the city central and tried to find a map of Moscow. Walked around and checked out vibes of the city.

Day 6: Moscow

I did find that map yesterday, so I managed to locate train station where trains to Siberia leave.Got there and bought a ticket to Irkutsk. Later in a afternoon I noticed that there were lots of military personnel and policemen everywhere. It`s moscow-day, Around million people on the streets in the evening. Red square was closed and all those bands performing sucked, so I decided to head back to my hostel.

Day 7: Moscow

Went to Ismailovsky park, biggest marketplace in Moscow. Actually it was huge: Hundreds of boothes selling everything from bootleg Nikes to cosmonaut suites. Got myself an umbrella for 2$. Moscow-day celebrations continued... without me.

Day 8: Moscow

I finally managed to get in to red square. To my disappointment, square itself wasn`t made out of red stones, as I always thought, but regular gray stones. St.Basils cathedral was smaller than I`d imagined, but still quite impressive.
