Day 9: Riga - Vilnius
Boarder crossing between Latvia and Lithuania was smooth and I arrived in Vilnius around 8 pm. First hostel I had in mind was full, but second had dorm beds available. It was late, so I only had one beer and wrote my diary before going to bed.
Day 10: Vilnius Went to train station in a morning to buy ticket to Warsaw. Price was pretty high, but I am saving one nights accomodation because it is night train. Walked back to old town, which wasn`t quite as nice as in Riga or Tallinn. Spend rest of the day walking around town. Later in evening I decited to go out for a few beers with couple of guys from my dorm. We had a good time and around midnight one of the guys heads back to hostel. I'm leaving around 2 am and about 200 metres from the bar somebody crabs me from behind and other guy punches me couple times on a head so I drop down. Couple seconds and my camera and wallet are gone. Lucky thing was they didn`t get my moneybelt. And like that wasn`t enough, I`m bleeding and my cabdriver is trying to rip me off while he drives me to hostel. What a cocksucker.
day 11: Vilnius I`m pretty pissed off, my face looks like a mess, which it is and I have a hangover. Around 11 am I got a call from Finnish embassy that somebody has found my drivers license and other papers which were in my wallet. I tell them I`m gonna pick´em up tomorrow. I washed my bloody clothes and spend whole day in hostel. And did I mention I was pissed off!
Day 12: Vilnius - Warsaw My face looked little better and I went to Finnish embassy in a morning. After I got my papers back I needed to exchance some local money to get some breakfast. I wanted to visit Lithuanias national museum, but somehow ended in "christianity in Lithuanian art" exhibit. I didn`t mind because it turned out to be interesting place. Cabin in that night train was a bit smaller than in russian trains which didn`t really matter since I didn`t get much sleep anyway. Breakfast was included, though.
