Day 69: Prague - Berlin

I defected to western europe and it definitely showed on price level: Train ticket from Prague to Berlin was 47 euros! For such a short trip, it took suprisingly long: almost six hours? Visited Wall monument in Bernauer straße in a evening. Spend 74 euros today, so all I could afford for supper was kepab.

Day 70: Berlin

Since I have to fly home tomorrow, I woke early and decided to visit as many sights as possible. I realize that one day in Berlin is not enough, but I tried to make most out of it. Hopped off from U-bahn in Zoologisher garten and almost immediately bumped into Erotic museum. Well, I just had to visit there! After slight overdose of erotica, I found myself at Brandenburg gate, from where I continued to Memorial of murdered jews. That underground exhibit was interesting, allthough I had wait 40 minutes in line before getting in. Hitlers bunker used to be nearby, but sadly there is nothing left from it. Stopped at ex-gestapo headquarters, which nowadays houses typography of terror-exhibit. Last stop of the day was checkpoint Charlie: US operated bordercrossing checkpoint during cold war. Mauermuseum was entertaining, yet little disorganized.

Day 71: Berlin - Helsinki

I walked 12 hours and who knows how many kilometres yesterday, so I slept like a baby last night. Felt a bit sad on my way to airport: 10 weeks went so fast and there were so many places I wanted to stay longer and so many places I didn`t get to visit at all. I was last person to check-in, so airline only had business class seats left and I got upgraded. Not bad for 59 euros...

Day 72: Helsinki - Oulu

Back home! Headed straight to my uncles summer cottage to recover from my "holiday" and that took about two weeks... Backpacking is hard work, you see... For those who wonder how much a trip like this would cost: I spend only 1773 euros, and that includes airline tickets.
